Hello all,
As you can see I was able to have the privilege of the Aspen Club and Spa set me up with a blog of my own. My trainer Tom spoke to Sarah about placing me in “People” magazine which is a once in a lifetime chance for me. Nothing exciting really ever happens in my life. So I figured ‘hey why not, this is my chance to show everyone that they too can be motivated by a “real” person. Not an actor or actress that just wants to lose 5-10 measly pounds.’ Since I was excited about the whole idea, Sarah also mentioned to me about a blog and how you all can keep track of my results and weight loss adventure through my 3 months in the Law Enforcement Academy. This Sunday I leave to set up my dorm room. I must say… this might be my longest 3 months ever. Aspen Club and Spa is very much like my second home. I will deeply miss all the staff members who are always smiling at me and my trainer Tom… who always says “okay, ready”, when I walk in for a good workout. I will be coming back on July 21 to do the 5K run/walk with my trainer in Aspen. We will most likely have lots to talk about. Every day I see him we always come up with something to either talk or joke about. I should set up a massage on Saturday before I head out for boot camp… HeHe…
Here is something for all of you:
Enjoy life to its’ fullest…live it day to day, not year to year.

I have fond memories of a best girlfriend and I doing “primp and pamper” days when we would mess up the bathroom and go to town. Jars of creams came out, bubble baths frothed, we’d shave our legs, do our nails, put creams and masks on our face and then go giggle and gossip while the paint dried.
It’s been way too long since I endulged in something like that, so this weekend I put my hair in a knot on top of my head, sighed in the mirror at some subtle, but very present “age spots” and went to work. I used a citrus microbrasion cleanser…what a refreshing “wowza!” for my skin. I scrubbed under my eyes and could feel the dry skin dissolving, literally. Then I slathed on some nourshing day cream and left for the day. My skin felt quite cool and calm.
I admit it, I am a sucker for the sun, one of the biggest culprits known to dry and age the skin. Not to mention the dangers of skin cancer, yikes: I have vowed to try using a mositurizer with an SPF in it, but I haven’t committed fully yet.
After a long day out and about, doing what gals do, I was ready to wind down for the evening. Drenched from a heated yoga class, I used some fruit cleansing gel to wash up and then put on a mask of sorts, the Alchemy Magic mask by Skin Essentials. The directions said to leave on for 4-20 minutes, and after about 5 minutes I felt tingly, which can only mean something is working! After washing off the light, grainy scrub, my skin felt alive and new! Next came a rich, heavy night cream formulated just for sweet dreams and something special for the area around my eyes, which just drinks this stuff in. I went to bed and woke up feeling pretty darn good about taking care of my skin. I enjoyed my 2 day skin soiree very much, and resolved to keep it up.
Natural and specially formulated products with specific uses definitely make a difference.
