Thanks to everyone who came out last night or to any of the previous meetings and spoke in favor of the Aspen Club. Last night we got conceptual approval from the Planning and Zoning board with a 4-1 vote.

The next step will be to present to the City Council. We will let you know that date and time when we find out. We appreciate all of your support throughout this process. Local commuters are encouraged to join others throughout Colorado for a fun, healthy, eco-friendly and inexpensive trip to work via bike.

Participants can stop by Bike to Work Day stations in Glenwood Springs and Aspen between 7-10am to receive free breakfast treats and goodie bags as well as the chance to win great prizes. One lucky winner will receive a car-free trip to Denver including Amtrak tickets and a stay at the historic Oxford Hotel just steps from the train station. Bikers who cannot make it to a breakfast station location may enter to win on-line at www.communitiesinmotion.net.

Aspen Bike station will be located near the skate park at the Rio Grande Park.
